VISA Credit Card FAQ

What is my VISA account balance and available credit?
By Phone:
VISA information can be accessed by touch tone phone at 800-808-7230. Your balance, last few transactions and available credit are available 24 hours a day with live operators available from 7 am to 9 pm weekdays. Follow the automated menu options to get account information or to be connected with an operator.

  • Download transactions - To use with your own money management software. You can also assign expense categories and add memos to transactions for record keeping purposes.

  • Bill Payment - Securely pay your credit card bill, just supply the account number and routing numbers of a valid savings or checking account, and the payment amount. 

  • Search Transactions - Search current or previous transactions by:

    • Transaction type

    • Expense category

    • Transaction amount

    • Merchant Name

    • Transaction Memo

    • Date Posted
  • UIECU VISA Cardholders will have access to previous account statements. The past 18 months statements available.

  • Reports - Track card expenses by creating, viewing and printing reports.

  • Alerts - Manage your account by automatically monitoring for specific events:

    • The credit limit is reached or exceeded

    • A new statement is available

    • Balance is within a certain amount of credit limit

    • Balance exceeds or drops below a certain amount

    • A payment, credit, or return posts to your account

    • A posted item exceeds a certain amount

What is my VISA Personal Identification Number (PIN)?
PINs are not assigned or changed at the credit union. Please contact 800-808-7230 to request a PIN. A PIN will be mailed to your statement address within 7 to 10 business days. Instructions will be included in the mailer to help you to select your own PIN, if the one mailed to you is unacceptable.

What should I do if my VISA credit card is lost or stolen?
Call 800-808-7230. When you call, a VISA representative will take your information, place a block on your account, and order a replacement card (at your request).

What if a charge I don’t recognize is on my billing statement?
Information on how to dispute a charge is included on the back of your statement. We recommend that members contact the merchant or company to inquire about the nature of the charge before submitting a dispute; you may find an 800/888 number listed directly below the merchant’s name on the statement. Please call 800-808-7230 with further inquiries or print a copy of the dispute form available here.

What if I am going out of town for an extended period? How do I make my Visa payments?
Several payment methods are available to you. Online, you may make your payments with the I-Branch, by transferring funds from your credit union accounts. You may call Touch Tone Teller at 217-244-2131 or 800-821-7574 to transfer a payment from your credit union accounts. The credit union also has several automatic payment options available with applications online.
