Illini Draft Money Market Account pays dividends at a competitive rate with a balance of $2,500 and an even better rate on balances of $25,000 and up. On days the balance falls below $2,500, dividends are still paid, but at a lower interest rate. There is never a service charge for falling below $2,500. Access this account by check or electronic transfer. This money market account is limited to six (6) electronic withdrawals per month, including three (3) by check. All electronic transfers or withdrawals after the 6th will be denied as outlined by the federal government.
The Illini Draft Money Market Account is an NCUA insured account giving you protection and accessibility to your money while you're earning a higher dividend rate. Illini Draft Accounts are normally used as a readily available emergency fund, a savings account for future investments, or for periodic expenses such as taxes, tuition, balloon payments, or insurance. Dividends are compounded monthly.
